Our hair is as delicate as our skin. It tends to get damaged as well. The harmful UV rays, pollution, hair colours and several chemicals that are present in our shampoos can make our hair frizzy, dry and damaged. Today I am going to share a hair mask using ingredients right from your kitchen.
- Coconut Oil
- Castor Oil
- Yogurt or Curd
Add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of castor oil in a bowl. Stir the mixture with the help of a spoon for a good 30 secs. Then add 1 tablespoon of honey and 3 tablespoon of curd to the mixture. Blend all the ingredients until it gives a mask like consistency. You can alter the amount according to the length of your hair but maintain the exact ratio.
Divide your hair into 4 smaller parts for smoother application. Take a small amount of this mask and apply onto the length of your hair using a downward stroke. Massage for a good 30 secs. Repeat the process for the rest of your hair. Massaging this pack onto your hair in a downward stroke is the key. You don’t need to massage your scalp as it hardly has any benefit for the scalp. After you have applied the mixture evenly, make a bun and keep it for 30 mins. Wash it off with room temperature water. Apply a herbal shampoo afterwards. You can skip the conditioner if you want to.
Apply this pack once a week or twice a month.The interval of application depends on the intensity of the damage. You will notice a difference from the first use.
